Ernie was not only an engaging teacher but a friend who took interest in me as an individual. We worked very closely together and she helped me to not only excel in General Paper and economics – both of which I went on to obtain ‘A’ grades for – but also to tell my story better in my personal essay. I was adrift and confused about what’s next after A levels when I first engaged her help, now I am en route to complete my degree in Music Performance at New York University, in pursuit of what makes my heart sing. She taught me to study smart and to communicate effectively through consistent, deliberate practice — life skills which I find to be applicable outside of school as well. Ernie is a true inspiration and I believe that she will be able to continue helping many more students to succeed, like what we had achieved together.
